Daycare description / philosophy

I have had inquiries about whether or not I am a 'Preschool' program, and I would like to clarify that by definition I am not. I provide a 'Learning Program' where we cherish and promote a child's learning in a stress free space with a learning through play curriculum. Children in my care do not sit at desks completing worksheets or school structured activities, but this does not mean that we do not work on school readiness.

I believe that a strong play philosophy in early childhood provides a strong interest in learning for life!

So in my care you can expect that your child will expand their:

Fine and gross motor skills
Interpersonal skills
Speech skills
Awareness of print
Abstract thought
Observation skills
Life skills
They will have free Creative license (use materials as they feel they should be not in pre planned 'Craft' way)
And so on...

So am I a 'Preschool?' .....No but I am a 'Learning Program' !
